The first day I went along to La Policia I called into the wee greengrocers across the road from it, to buy some fruit and bread for the kids.
The couple who run the shop recognised me from last year and were awfully pleased to see me again. It's nice to feel so welcome in a place. I bet I don't get any welcome back from the shopkeepers of Morningside, even though they,ve taken enough of my dough over the past 30 odd years.

That's because Morningside is so full of grown up hippies, they have no idea what is going on and are unable to remember who they are or what time it is or where they've left their hookah.
Not sure about grown up hippies but prepared to accept that if such an oxymoronic beast exists it may find comfort and solace in Morningside.
As a non blogger could i request you draw the world's attention (including any grown up hippies) to the imminent extension of crofting by the Scottish Government. This is the link:

(can't be bothered finding out how to insert a hyperlink) Not a mention of crofts in Livvy but I'm geting some shovels and wellies in B&Q just in case common sense prevails and all of Scotland is established as a croft.
